Kobe Bryant is a giant douche bag.

12 years old between the ears and morally corrupt the sooner he retires the better. Dahntay Jones played defense against me waaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

i hate basketball, but when a guy is taking a fade-away you can't put your feet down under him,for him to land on your feet and injure himself.
the shot is already away and he is fading away... no need to play such tight defense on him at that point. i saw the play and i also watched PTI on espn and they said this is an on-going discussion with the NBA rules committee because it should NOT happen. like i said i hate basketball so i really don't care just adding my 2 cents

Lord Dipstick
Kobe is correct.

Jalen Rose used to do the same shit to people on the Jump Shot.

Dahntay Jones will get bitten by the Mamba when they play next.

Undercutting someone isn't playing defense. I don't think it was intentional, but you need to be aware of your position. Not dirty, but reckless.

If you don't hit him in the head or cut his legs out from under him its defense. If he lands on his foot its hard D no whistle no foul.

Kobe gets away with grabbing and cross blocking with his off arm constantly and nobody says a word when he gets Laimbeered he can gripe otherwise stow it.

Can't fuckin' stand him. Ever since he stood my cous' up for an auto in DT I haven't had one second for the prick. Embarrassed he actually represents our country in international affairs. And fuck him and his bitch ass for fucking Rubio's knee/career up to shit as if he had the right to.

My, it seems you have a bit of history with one Kobe B. Bryant. I for one, am glad that he plays so competitively in international competition. We might not have struck gold in 2008 if it hadn't been for The Mamba.

the NBA said it should have been called a foul.

Is it, a foul! Or, isnt it not, a, foul?
Technically it is not a foul as no whistle was blown and if it had been blown it would have been a routine two shot foul my point is it was a routine play with no intent to harm just a defender pressing a player at the end of the game but his lordship Kobe is never to be played in a physically as it may bruise his personal self.

It was a borderline dirty play and the league office should have fined Jones $5,000 for it, esp. since Kobe has a little history with Jones. The refs were correct in not calling a foul, because the infraction was after the shot, and the contact after Kobe missed the end of game shot should not have been the determining factor in the final outcome of the game. Let the player's settle it on the floor not the refs.

If Kobe were a man he would admit that that play had nothing to do with loosing that game....He went 11 for 33 playing hero basketball, and only got Howard 9 shot attempts the game after he had just put up 39 against Orlando. I think that is one of the criticisms of Kobe is that he is selfish and immature. That's why, although he is arguably the best player in the game talent wise , he will never be on the level of Jordan, no matter how many games or championships he wins.

It's unfortunate he twisted his ankle but it's not the end of the world...any good team should still be able to win with one or two injuries. Maybe it will give Kobe a chance to appreciate the talent of the guys around him, rather than trying to do it all himself. However, if the Laker's fall apart without him and don't make the post-season, then they probably never deserved to be in the playoffs in the first place.
