Kazaa lite downloading question

Hey nice site you guys got here. I've used freeones for a long time now, never noticed the forum before.

Have a question about using kazaa lite to d/l video clips. This is where I have gotten most of my vids. But I'm wondering if my settings are screwed or something.

Its easy enough to find the files to d/l, but most often enough they take so long! Even with many users i can't get a very good d/l speed. seems like they are in between 1 kbps to 20, which is painfully slow. I'm even on cable internet and get a bad speed.

Is there any way to increase the speed? I have kazaa lite 2.4.3. Thanks.

Wellcome to the board!

I'm just assuming here, but there isn't much you can do. I use Kazaa Lite and I have a broadband connection and still get varying speeds. Kazaa would list 10 - 100 users with the file but each of these users have their own settings that can prevent you from downloading from them.

Some users only allow 1 upload. OR their upload speed is limited. There are many issues that are out of our hands.

Your best bet is to just be patient. But sometimes I would try by switching to different nodes or keep clicking 'find more sources'.

On your settings, make sure you don't have many uploads available. Keep 1 open, that's the minimum you can have. Also have the maximum amount of results open. It's like 200 tops, but you get a lot more than that. I can get a connection around 400 kb/s if I get a good person to download off of.

For the most part it's safe. Try to find ones with lots of users. Don't download software because that's the most viruses right there. But videos are the safest bet to go. I've downloaded a lot of videos and I've never gotten a virus yet, knock on wood.

me too and i systematically use norton antivirus for checking my downloaded files.

I wasn't talking virus wise, i was asking about would i get sued for d/l'n videos? Cause people are i dunno
