Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker in origins movie...

Joaquin Phoenix is in talks to play the Clown Prince of Crime in Warner Bros. and Todd Phillips’ untitled Joker origin movie.

While studio negotiations are not yet underway, Phillips has made it clear that Phoenix is the top choice to star and sources now tell Variety that, after thinking it over, Phoenix has agreed to the role. WB had no comment.

Phillips is on board to co-write and direct the movie. Phillips had met with Phoenix before the new year and was just waiting for the studio’s go-ahead, sources say.

Hmm. I like good bit of his roles but as the Joker I don't know.

I'm not sure if that's/he's the wisest choice, but who knows, he might be able to pull it off.

Personally I'm getting tired of all these super hero movies and T.V shows. But you never know.

I would look forward to some of the DC films if WB backed off and let the director and others do what they were hired to do.

As far as Pheonix goes I am 80/20 right now. Just seems odd right now.

I agree.Enough with the super hero/comic book movies.Hollywood always have to milk something to death.And people wonder why video games has surpassed movies for entertainment.
