Ivan Koloff (August 25, 1942 – February 18, 2017)

Ivan Koloff, has passed away. He was 74 years old. Koloff passed away after a battle with liver cancer.

Koloff defeated Bruno Sammartino to win the WWWF world heavyweight title in 1971 at New York’s Madison Square Garden after Sammartino held the belt for almost eight years.

Aw heck! Not another one! I was a big fan of "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff. Loved to hear his promos on TBS World Championship Wrestling. Ivan was a real legend and a good guy in real life. RIP.
