Damn, that is too bad. Such a nice car to get destroyed.

Can't let 'em have nothin' nice!

And for 1/6th the price ...

And for 1/6th the price, under US$50K, there is alway a stock Corvette C6 that does 190mph and 0-60mph in 4 seconds as well. Pay a few more bucks and get a Z06 or even a ZR1 for better performance.

Had to say it ... the blue collar supercar.

Um...The performance of the Corvette may be there, but the styling compared to Lambos isn't even in the same universe.

It's not just how fast you go...

It's also about how you go fast...

A Corvette is a crude device compared to a Lamborghini.

As the cheapest Lambo is roughly 4 times the price of the C6 Vette, one wouldn't expect them to be equal in terms of technology or refinements. But performance wise, there's not that much distance between them, if any.

Once one gets away from bench racing and badge/marque fascination, the C6 Corvette is seen as a world class sports car these days. At one time the Corvette (C4 and earlier) was a car mainly for middle aged divorced guys, wearing gold chains, fake Rolex's, lots of hair gel and open chested shirts... looking to pick up girls half their age. Hey baby. How you doin'?

But the person looking to spend $50-60K on a performance car isn't looking at Lambos or Ferraris - any Lambo or Ferrari going for that kind of money is likely an older, ragged out piece of junk. He's looking at the Vette, Boxsters and maybe a used (up) Porsche 997... or one of the little Lotus cars that has the build quality of a backyard kit car. IMO, the C6 Vette more than holds its own in the category in which it competes - and I'm not even a huge Corvette fan. I just know that they're damn good sports cars... based on actual performance data.

Last time I checked ...

Last time I checked the only team that keeps it competitive with Teeam Corvette and its C6.R in GT1 (now GT2) is Aston Martin. So it's more than just speed, but the handling is there as well.

Independent Double A arm I thought.

Seriously, is it really necessary for cars of this extremity to be rollin around our cities ? The only time I get a chance to see them is when they're in the drink or have their wheels half buried in da kitty litta.
All of these wealthy wannabes with their fancy cars that they don't even know how to drive. :1orglaugh

To really test any car (just like testing any gun), you need a safe place to put it through its paces, right? You can join the SCCA or NASA and spend your weekends at the track, with like minded men and women, who also enjoy the smell of gasoline, burnt rubber and overheated brakes.

High performance driving is a skill that needs to be developed and practiced, just like any other. The younger you learn, the better... so that you don't pick up so many nasty (ingrained) habits.

They got spirit, yes they do. They got spirit, how 'bout you (Facetious)? :D
