This is more a question for men as they would be still the main consumers of porn and is oriented towards their pleasure, girls are also welcome with their opinion.
In anal there is more stretching, moaning and its just more bare and in general more enjoyable for the guy performing it than the girl that it is being performed on.
So the question is would most male porn consumer of straight porn be satisfied that mainstream porn scenes would just contain anal sex, and that vaginal would be a bonus, for example in scene that put more emphasis on emotion and romance, and of course in DP, but that's another story...
