I thought this to be very surprising; she doesn't like sex. Seems she only likes money, not really into the whole Pornstar life. Back when she started doing porn in the mid 90's I was living in Florida.
The owner of a pornshop had a deal with her to appear for the grand opening.
She didn't show but kept the dough.

Because when using the verbs to be -is/are you must use is when referring to a singular noun and are when referring to a plural noun.

I would guess there are a bunch of pornstars who either don't enjoy sex, or at times would rather not do it. But the money is a big incentive and I would think whether they like the sex or not, virtually all pornstars are in it for the money. But as long as you don't think of that while you're beating off, the porn is just as arousing!

I have to agree with Nomad 800, the Porn Industry would cease to exist. Without the fame and especially the money no woman would screw on film. A pornstar escorting at $2,000 an hour isn't meeting people for conversation. They make a lot of money for very little work/time/energy. I very surprised that Teri Weigel doesn't like sex. I mean if she didn't like sex you think she would have worked like mad woman early in her career, saved and invested so she wouldn't have to continue.

I'm no porn star, but I would image as a porn star you don't have to like sex to do your job...you just have to do it (pun intended). I don't like dealing with pain in the ass customers everyday, but it's my job and I can tolerate it for the paycheck...get my drift? Point being, there's very few people in this world that absolutely love their job, most just do it to pay the bills. I'm sure porn stars are no different.

I think that porn is very different from all other forms of entertainment from a performers perspective. I would say that 99% of all mainstream painters, musicians, actors or whatever artform it is do it because they truly love the art and the money is just a bonus. In porn money is the only driving force and if you took it away i would imagine only a very few "exhibitionists" would still do porn.

I would imagine that some people might get started in the business because they love sex, but after doing it just for money they might get turned off to it. Instead of doing it because it's something they like, they might start to see it as just work.

I'm not a pornstar (lucky you guys), but I do work in an industry where people think it's all about shits and giggles. When I first started working as a stagehand I saw it as getting paid to see concerts. I would go out into the audience and watch the show even if it was a band that I didn't care for. After working my first 100 or so concerts, the novelty of seeing free concerts started to wear off, and I started becoming more selective as to which bands I watched. Now that I've been doing it for almost 7 years I can hardly ever just watch a concert anymore. Whether it's ZZ Top, The Stones, CCR, Deep Purple, or any other band that I absolutely LOVE I can't watch more than a few minutes of it because I start checking my watch to see if it's time for me to be backstage, ready to pack everything up.

This happens even when I have a ticket (which, given that I know most of the people who work security anyway, rarely ever happens). A few years ago I won tickets to see Audioslave. That was my favorite new band at the time, and I was stoked. However, after 3 songs I stopped paying attention to the show and I started looking at the shit on stage, trying to figure out how long it would take to get done and go home.

I'm not sure if any pornstars are in the same boat I'm in, but I think that could be something they might go through.

The fact there are a vast group people in it that don't like what their doing is one of the things that makes me not really like the hardcore stuff as much as others do. Maybe it's just me, but it's hard to just think of a lot of people as nothing more than an image on the screen.
