Of course, if any of you like to read about physics, time and space are inseparable, so it IS at least theoretically possible that someone or something is keeping it from destroying us, someone from some other place and time. Wild stuff...
with Atoms in the heart of a sun breaking down and reforming into new elements, I have to believe that such collisions occur inside suns.
also applying the laws of natural selection to the formation of a universe, I have to believe that if there was such an Achilles heal to the universe, it would have been struck long before now or maybe even fizzled out the big bang at the start.
I think the universe is a pretty sturdy structure, and considering its size it would take something larger than a cosmic pin prick to take it out.
as for blowing up a large section of the Earth - asteroid impacts and atomic energy have not been stopped by this paradox, ask the Dinosaurs and the Japanese.
having said that I am not so put off the idea of a possible, time feedback loop, like a speaker getting blown out when the microphone comes to close.
If current theories are correct, time travel would only be possible within the active life time of the time machine, so it is possible to imagine that the machine being turned on completing a time feedback loop.
but I would think the ideal experiment would be to turn the machine on while trying to detect excess energy from an unknown source or even detecting theoretical particles such as tachyons .
but as far as strange events like the guy who flips the switch getting busted for being an Al Qaeda buddy - or the project's budget going down the drain before it even begins,
I think is easier to explain as the typical human idiocy that surrounds most projects of that scope and financial size.

I really hope it is being sabotaged from the future. That would mean, in some way the thing works. I need something extraordinary in the world like this to happen.

To my knowledge, I've never seen a UFO or an Alien.
Ghosts, any higher power or indeed God have never appeared before me to show me the way or just to scare the shit out of me.
I'm so used to and bored of all the things in the world I know for a fact, like the birth of a new life, the rising of the sun, the view from earth into space on a clear night. The way we've built up a civilisation from nothing, that planes and helicopters fly, how a microwave works, that we have those little water drains in our ears. Mathematics and languages. The fact that every single living creature is completely different. That 10 years ago, I didn't know what the internet was. That about 15 years ago, hardly anyone had mobile phones. The Pyramids, the moon, mars. All these things bore me to death. There's so much more to mention, but I'm too bored to.
The only solution is the final revelation that Aliens, ghosts, God and time travel does indeed exist for a fact.
Then when I'm bored of all that, I'll turn my attention to another great mystery of life... the biggest secret of them all. But by then it won't matter because freeones would have automatically signed me out before I can find the solution, lose all my collected data and break my moral and fortitude to such a degree that the finished result will only be half the quality of the original posting.
