What ever happened to AOL?
I remember in the UK, AOL claimed to be the biggest provider of dial up internet when Freeserve was actually bigger. That got them a rap on the knuckles.
Then broadband exploded and suddenly all the ISP's got shaken up and dial up died a death. Likes of Ntl (now Virgin) and BT suddenly outstripped everyone else.
I was never a fan of AOL, I thought their crap they put on your PC was just that. But what happened to them?
Has their value gone the same way as Friendreunited or are the still big in the US?
