Internet Censorship In The United Kingdom Is Here!!!

The British government is about to censor the internet!

Soon if we do nothing about it all the websites containing adult content (nudity, gaming, tobacco and etc. etc. and this of course is including Freeones.com) will get censored by default in the United Kingdom and all these websites will be no longer accessible neither at your own home neither at public hot spots.

This means you will not be able to access Freeones anymore without calling your internet provider and opting out the filter in your own home. In order to access Freeones in a public place you will have do find cheat ways to fool the system like tunneling your internet connection but this will make your surfing very slow & painful.

It's time to act people! If you do not like the crazy censorship idea please sign the petition to stop this madness before it's too late and more crazy censorship ideas will come to the minds of crazy people.

Conspiracy...
I heard about this. The only thing to do is hold massive protests.

If that doesn't work violence in the streets. That seems to be the only thing that really works.

The has potential to set a dangerous precedent unless the public show their disapproval.

It won't make a difference. Cameron's got the agreement of most of the biggest ISPs in the country already, and he's got enough half-soaked middle class parents who can't even set parental controls much less actually monitor their kids' behaviour and/or Daily Mail readers, who all want to lazily try and use technology to solve a social problem, supporting his ludicrous plan, that he's not going to back out now.

Little does he know, restrict the ability of horny underage kids to look at porn in their own home, and before you know it, hordes of them will be gathering for "sleepovers" around the houses of the select few who figure out their parents "opted in" and what's going to happen then? They'll be watching loads of porn together, getting wound up and fucking each other in big underage dogpiles, and there'll be just as many problems with STDs and teen pregnancies are there are now. Because you haven't solved the real problem Dave - parents not keeping an eye on what their kids are doing.

Let me guess. To justify this there are some mindless people over there screaming something like "think of the children". It's pretty much the go to excuse people go to these days when they have to justify something that's completely stupid that controls other people's lives.

This is a bad thing but just think about how much more productive the country will be.

Have the brits ever been productive? All I see them do is sit around drinking tea all the time....

I really hope this doesn't happen. I have a lot of fans in the UK and many of my webcam customers live there...

Fingers crossed if they're paying customers, they're largely also in charge of paying the ISP bill and can just "opt in."

Have the brits ever been productive? All I see them do is sit around drinking tea all the time....

I'll probably get kicked out of the Top Hat Mafia for saying this, but tea does nothing for me. Crumpets neither. But yes, our productivity has been on the wane, a lot of the industries we excelled in have become distinctly unfashionable over the last couple of decades.... slavery, fossil fuels, trafficking, football hooliganism and so on.

Right, 'appen I'm off to spend a shilling getting the horseless carriage down to Littlepiddle-by-the-Sea. Hopefully to catch sight of many a fair maid flashing a bit of ankle on a lovely midsummer's day like today, I shouldn't doubt!

Good day to you, Madam. :hatsoff:

I seem to recall that went well for them last time they tried this.

The Brits? Are you kidding? One of the few countries outside the Middle East stupid enough to retain a Monarchy? The Brits who called off their last revolution because of rain?
They'll eat shit the same way they always have until they return to being the poor man of Europe.

Of course Cameron has solved his problem; nothing like a good media crusade to distract the plebs.

Do you hope people die so that your point is proved?
*proven
Why won't you give up on that?

:scream: Oh, won't somebody please think of the children!? :scream:

So what will happen to the British posters on this board next year? Are they not going to be allowed here anymore?

All they have to do is to visit nearest office of their ISP, put on very nice pokerface, then go to talk to that pretty customer service lady, tell her his full name so they can identify your customer info and say that you would like to watch some porn... :rofl2:

...or then call their ISP and do the same. Do they offer any kind of internet checkbox opt-out system or do you have to personally call them?

Good question.

What may happen is:

People who visit this board will have to call their internet providers to opt out the filter (or click the right option on their ISP account customer profiles but not all ISPs might provide this way) if they want to visit this board from their own homes. All the family members and house tenants will get to know that. The mass calling and accessing an ISP's profile accounts by so many people at once will result in chocked lines and crashed servers. People will have to wait. It might come to that people will try for days to contact their ISPs to opt out the filter before they succeed.

However, many people uses shared connections, free hotspots etc. They may have no such possibility to do so.

It will be impossible to connect directly in public internet places like free wi-fi hot spots or internet cafes, pubs, hotels, train stations.

They will have to seek other ways to access this board like connecting through proxies but this will slow down their surfing making it painful and may be not that effective especially when proxies services will get banned too. There will be ways for sure but not secure and slow speed.

All connections will go trough Chinese routers brought by Huawei company. In other words "the Great Firewall of China" will become "the Great Firewall of Great Britain". Not to mention China might use this to spy all internet connection in the UK.

There are of course more consequences of this censorship idea, very bad and far going consequences but you asked only about accessing this board by people in the United Kingdom so, this post is only about this subject.

But there is a chance they might rethink this when 100 000 votes will be gathered and when solid arguments against this censorship will be raised by British society.

Britain's system of tracking and ip tracing surveillance is using mainly cisco switches, cisco firewall and routers which are also used by the nsa and the cia and far more hard to breach and far more secure than the huawei which are considered as crap switches in terms of quality, redundancy and security. There are private vpns like ipredator which give you a 256 bit encryption and which makes your ip adress untracable even with an ip or proxy sniffer

IP tracing and censorship are a recurrent theme that is debated about the freedom of expression, because the government wants sometime to be too much intrusive and to control everything what the law abiding citizen do

The Right-Wing, Conservative government of UK is about on censor Internet, just like they do in China or North Korea. I thought the righ-wing politicians wanted to focus on individual responsibility rather than relying on the government to legislate on every aspects of the lives of people :dunno:
