Shit! Those ARE shotgun shell casings being discharged. I thought they looked unusual. That drum magazine is bad ass. I need to get one before they are outlawed.
Last I knew AA 12 is only legal for citizens as a semi-auto.

The original design by Atchisson has been around since the early 70s. But the AA-12 design that's on the market now didn't come out until about 2005, so it misses the BATF pre-1986 cutoff for civilian ownership of full auto/select fire weapons.
What's really wild about it is the way that the open bolt and recoil spring system reduces recoil to about 10% of what a standard pump or single barrel 12 gauge would have. Supposedly you can dump a full (20-32 round) magazine without substantially losing accuracy because of excessive recoil (the civilian version fires from a closed bolt, I believe). For a full auto 12 gauge shotgun, that sounds absolutely crazy.
The last new one (semi-auto) I saw at a gun show was around $3 grand and came with a 20 round drum mag. I guess it would be the ultimate home defense weapon and certainly a great "show off toy" to your gun buddies. But apart from that, it's about as useless as teats on a boar. I'd like to shoot a full auto one though. :yesyes:
