I'm back from vacation..and my mom got a heart transplant!

It's been an INSANE couple of weeks!

I went to Miami, shot for a few days, and then went on a cruise to Caribbean. I returned to Miami to do another shoot..on my way to set I got the call that my mom was being prepped for heart transplant surgery! Talk about bad timing! I remained as calm as I could, did my shoot and then rushed to the airport to fly home. During my travels I learned that the surgery was a success and her new heart was working perfectly. I wasn't able to see her that night since it was so late and she was still under. But yesterday they woke her up and she's doing great! She's already walking and everything. I am still stunned and in shock, she was only on the list for 10 days! The heart was a perfect match for her.

There are still many things that could go wrong and lots of side effects and complications from all of the rejection meds that she's on, but she's doing well for now.

I am exhausted!

It's been quite an eventful time. The cruise was awesome! I'm just so happy to be home and with my family. I still can't quite wrap my head around the fact that they took someone else's heart and put it in my mom's chest...and it works. Science is amazing.
