Blood and May can duke out their racism arguments on their own terms. But the underlying theme that May has brought up is the fact that new people coming into this country have an entrepreneurial and work ethic that those who have been here seem to lack. It's like this, You come to this country because you want a better life. You bring what you have and do what you must to achieve it. You work as many hours as it takes. You conduct business that will keep your employers and customers happy. They don't come here to select their preferred jobs at what they think they are worth based upon 40 hours with benefits. That's the thinking of those born here that think we are entitled to it.

The Italian bakeries. The Jewish tailors. The Polish housekeepers. The Irish taverns. The German butchers. The Mexican construction workers. The Puerto Rican bodegas. All of them put in the labor and hours so that they won't have to live upon what a state can give them. That kind of drive from so many different people makes living here great. Not by being the nation that gives the better handouts.

That's why if you go into the kitchen of any restaurant you're going to find it full of Hispanics. They even take the crappy jobs like busboy and dishwasher. You know damn well there aren't any white kids these days walking into a restaurant asking for a busboy or dishwashing job. You can say alot of things about Hispanics but the one thing you can't say is that they're lazy. They pick our fruits and vegetables, they clean our hotel rooms, they act as nannies for our kids, they do our yard work, they cook our food, they clean up after us, etc.

I'm glad you brought that up instead of me. If I did I would be called a racist. Back when I was a kid, my dad would have me and my brother shovel out the driveway when it snowed. Then we walked to other houses and made a few bucks shoveling them out. That shit doesn't happen anymore and it's not because people won't pay. I am lucky because I live in a complex and there are groundskeepers. I wait for them to come to salt and plow. I grab one of them and offer $20 to shovel me out. Not only do they have it done in 15 minutes, they even clear the snow off my car. That's a positive work ethic.
