If you're interested in my two cents..

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I hope you dont mind, but it seems that you are a socialist.

I was wrong, you are not a socialist.

You should have paid more attention to the last line of her post:

I am tired of people saying I belong to certain parties because of my views.. It's a bunch of crap that we separate ourselves like that.

Fantastic post, Nikki! I applaud you. Think for yourself. Don't be afraid to have thoughts that are opposed to what the herd (whichever herd) wants you to have. Don't be a lemming! Just be Nikki!

Ok.. I think you guys might have missed my point..

I don't want to be grouped in with any certain group or party.. I don't understand why I have to.. Why do we separate ourselves like that? It makes no sense to me.. :dunno:

I worked room service at a hotel and Romney stayed there numerous times while campaigning in Cincinnati. He ordered over 400 dollars worth of stuff and not only didn't tip me but went out of his way to circle the total then proceed to write a zero in the tip line and wink at me.. Like a creeper.

He's creepy for sure.

Yeah he comes off that way for sure.

I am not a liberal. I am not a democrat. I am not a republican. I am a human being and I form my own opinions about every matter that is important to me.

I believe in equal rights for EVERY human being. Black, white, purple, gay, straight, disabled.

I believe in controlled abortion. (Meaning if the circumstances are ****, ****** or if the ****** or ***** will die during birth)

I believe in every persons right to carry arms and side heavily against bans on weapons.

I believe in fair pay, not only for women but for people who bust their ass and deserve to make more but don't because that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

I believe in a president who is flawed, because you will never find one who isn't.

I also believe in a President who stands by what he says regardless if its what the people want to hear.

I'd prefer a president who tips.. But hey maybe I'm still bitter from Romney stiffing me on his 400+ room service bill.

I prefer a world where people didn't have to hide who they were in fear that others would judge them or worse.

I believe in a world where when a friend is hurting and needs help we put aside our differences and do our best to help them.

I believe in a world where I can express my opinion and you can express yours and then afterwards we can go grab a **** together with no animosity towards one another at all.

I believe in this world. I believe in this country. And I believe that we could all stand to be a little more tolerant than we really are.

I am tired of people saying I belong to certain parties because of my views.. It's a bunch of crap that we separate ourselves like that.

Whenever my right wing buddies lose another political debate they start calling me a liberal. They shut up when its pointed out that I own more firearms than any of them and I would love capital punishment expanded. Just because I enjoy trees, I think everyone should pay their share, and the Church thinks way too much of itself I'm liberal???? FOX 'NEWS' fills them with bogus ideas and inflames them to a fever pitch all the while laughing to the bank. Its sad really.

Freedom is the right to be wrong or offensive without the threat of censure or ********. And somehow a lot of us have lost that thought. Bring on the no party system!!!!

I'd be interesting in knowing more details about exactly how Romney stiffed you with the tip.

Edit: I didn't see your earlier post. No offense but stories like this could be told about anyone. And it happens all the time. While it could have happened, your "creepy" comment seems suspect. Would he still have been 'creepy if he had tipped you 80 bucks?

He's very creepy.. He could've tipped me 1,000 dollars and still have been creepy.. He seems almost robotic.. Very rehearsed.. Fake. As if he isn't sure how to form a thought for himself and has to look at others for directions.. That's what I meant by creepy, not like "hit on me" type creepy or anything..

It doesn't really matter to me if you believe me or not but that is definitely something that weighed heavily on my descion not to vote for him because it showed me just how little he cared for the working class citizen. (BTW, The Cincinnatian Hotel is where every republican politician stays when they come to Cincinnati. I worked room service there up until the end of August of this year.)

Thanks Rey, I really think more people should just form their OWN opinions on matters.. Not their parents opinions or their teachers or friends but their own.

I know plenty of people that have met him. And you are the first person that I know of that has ever described him in that way. I also know for a fact that a woman was in danger of having her power disconnected because she couldn't pay her light bill and he without letting anyone know it, quietly put enough money in her hand so that she could avoid having the lights cut off. I think there is more in play here than your assessment of him as a guest of the hotel.

Well he obviously let somebody know about it because you're able to retell the story to me.. :dunno:

I have nothing to gain by telling a false story.. I don't claim a party so for me Obama or Romney they both needed to prove themselves to me.. The way I see it is Romney saw a young girl working a crap job and probably assumed I wasn't even sure how to vote let alone registered.. I don't care now one bit.. It's not like I haven't been stiffed before.. The red hot chili peppers don't tip for **** either..

John Stewart and George Lopez are two of the very best tippers I've ever had.

The woman that was the beneficiary of his kindness told the story. Not Romney.

And I'm sure Mr.Romney knew that she would run and tell all of her friends about the good deed this fine young man did for her.. Obviously. If someone paid my bills I would run and tell everyone.

Just like he knew that you would whine about him being a stiff.

As I said before.. I am a 22 year old blonde female with a large chest that is often confused for implants.. He probably assumed I couldn't spell President let alone vote for one.. When we deliver to any "*********" we are not allowed to acknowledge that we are aware of who they are.. We are supposed to treat them as anyone else so I suppose he could've just assumed I didn't realize who he was..

:dunno:

Regardless, this could go on and on. I have my set of beliefs and you have yours. No biggie.

It is not the "no tip" part of the story which concerns me most - it is the fact that he seemed very much so to go out of his way to show that he was not giving a tip. Interesting that is the part which seems to be glossed over.

Yeah, the way she tells it he may as well said "nah nah nah nah nah nahhhh you ain't getting ****!!!" Pretty sure all the expenses at the hotel were covered by the Romney campaign. I'm gonna research campaign laws regarding gratuities.

Maybe my service was bad.. :dunno:

I mean the kitchen did take a while with his order..

For the record, his Secret Service men did tip me on their meals..

LOL You are too much.. I'm sure his bills were taken care of by campaign managers just like bands are covered by band managers, they still have to sign for their order.

Jesus Tapdancing Christ BC, let it go. WTF are you getting all pissy about? Why do you feel the need to jump to Romney's defense? He's back to being a non-entity, his own Party didn't like him on his best day....and he lost. Whatever it is you're arguing for or against, it no longer includes Mitt Romney. Get over it.

That's right they do have to sign. But there also may be laws about how much they can tip if at all using campaign funds.

You know what, you might be on to something actually.. I just read this article and it says that while traveling for campaign business that funds are taken from the campaign fund for meals. So maybe he was on a budget and assumed I'd be tipped from the campaign people?

Either way, that was back in like July and I don't even work at the Cincinnatian any more soooo I'm past it.

That's right they do have to sign. But there also may be laws about how much they can tip if at all using campaign funds.

I honestly didn't even think about there being a law, I was just pissy that I made crap that night when I expected to make more, that's all..

You're probably right about him being on a cap for what he could spend.

He still creeped me out though.. :dunno:

It would have been so much easier for all involved if he had just dined at Skyline Chili.

Hahah true! After eating skyline though he'd have a huge mess in the toilet! Other than his political career of course.

Zing!
