I think, because the Nazi's used some early IBM technology (not a computer of course but something along those lines) to log the jews that were going into the camps/gas chambers, there was some controversey when it all came out a few years back because it was said that IBM was profiting from the Nazi's actions.

If you look at it one way, they were, but you can also argue that IBM puts its good out into the market for one and all to buy and it was just coincidence that someone within the orginisation used it.

Who knows whether or not IBM had a "deal" with them or not? But they wouldnt be the first western company to do so.

Ah, ok, I get it. I knew from my studies, that the Nationalsocialists used some IBM technology and had dealings with IBM, but I didn't know that it ran that deep (with Prescott Bush being involved and the case still being present in the American conscience). Thanks for clearing that up.
