Ocean’s Thirteen actress Ellen Barkin recently expressed her hope that Tropical Storm Isaac would smash up the Republican National Convention in Tampa and drown all its delegates!

She retweeted the message of one of her followers that read: “C’mon #Isaac! Wash every pro-life, anti-education, anti-woman, xenophobic, gay-bashing, racist SOB right into the ocean! #RNC" Barkin did not express any disagreement in her retweet.

The storm is expected to grow into a Category 1 hurricane before slamming into the Gulf Coast on Wednesday, the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Enough is enough! Samuel L. Jackson has had it with these monkey-fighting hurricanes on this Monday-to-Friday Gulf Coast. The outspoken star took to his Twitter page yesterday to air his disappointment about Tropical Storm Isaac’s shift toward New Orleans — and away from Tampa Bay, home of this week’s Republican National Convention. And predictably, his words have rustled a few conservative feathers.

Unfair Sh–: GOP spared by Issac [sic]! NOLA prolly F–ed Again! Not understanding God’s plan!” Jackson wrote Monday afternoon, without obscuring the expletives. The reaction was swift and hyperbole filled: “I’ve had it with these motherf–ing racist Democrats on this motherf–ing Twitter,” user @LastBrainLeft wrote, adding, “#killyourself.” Others echoed his sentiments, or were angry that Jackson would wish ill on an entire city simply because of a political event held there. Then again, hundreds of Twitter users also seemed to agree with the Oscar nominee’s message — the “unfair” tweet has been retweeted 983 times and marked as a favorite 236 times as of this morning.

Though Jackson’s characters aren’t exactly known for their forgiving nature, the actor did realize he had crossed a line half an hour after his Isaac tweet. “Daayum! Poked a Hornets nest, hunh?” he wrote after reading vitriol-filled responses. “Apologies to God, Tampa, da GOP& Isaac(sp)! Who played the Race card?!” Half an hour after that, he addressed the controversy again: “Whoooo! A lotta sh– stirred into a Bullsh– tweet! Politics & Religion get MUFREPUBLICANS heated!” At least he’s still being creative with his favorite expletive.

The implication of the title of this thread is misleading, then. I know that's a hard concept for you, as you are not terribly smart, but you strongly implied you were referring to the Liberals/Left in general.

No, no, no, Sam, old chap, got it a bit wrong. The title does make it seem that you think all libs are violent, and in Will's case, that all libs are hypocrites. Not all libs are like that, and I know, because I got friends who are HUGE..... as in HUGE libs and they're not violent at all. Some of the nicest people. They know I'm a very strong conservative yet we tolerate each other. But there sure are A LOT of violent libs. Apart from those two "compassionate" individuals, just take a look at those Occupy malcontent fleabaggers who bait the police into tassing them or use pepper spray against them in order to complain of "police brutality". The thing is, you can count on the media to downplay it when libs make awful comments of death like those and amplify any criticism of liberal politics as "violent rhetoric", remember, for them the means justify the ends. They play by a different set of rules. What is unacceptable for a conservative is business as usual for libs and there is no hypocrisy for them. If you're someone who is supposed to stand for good moral values and you mess up, in their book, you are a hypocrite. But if they don't even bother to have moral values, how can they be considered hypocrites? :dunno: No hypocrisy there.

Anyway, right now, watching the RNC convention, Paul Ryan giving a speech, just saw what it seems to be someone escorted out. It's no news. It might get mentioned tomorrow in some conservative blogs and if it gets mentioned in the mainstream media, it'll be a few seconds long. Watch the DNC next week for any people being escorted out and if that happens, it will be huge news "how dare those hateful conservatives try to interrupt our dear leader's convention?" :cussing: And of course, the never ending accusations of conservatives as being violent. So just spread the word, tell your conservative buddies to stay away from the DNC, protest all you want outside but don't go in and give them any excuse.
