Well, as I'd mentioned before, I had computer problems earlier this year after my roommate deleted Vista from my computer and installed XP. None of my programs or peripherals would work, my files were inaccessible, basically, my computer was just an empty shell. Last week I realized that to take an online class I need a reliable computer, so, as much as it pained me, I decided to spend the $130 bucks to get Vista. I installed it, and it ran fine for a few days. Then I decided to install some of the drivers and files that originally came with my computer when I first bought it, before my roommate deleted my operating system, and my computer got fucked up. I installed a display driver, and the screen turned white. I tried restarting the computer, but it said that it had to do an auto-repair. It started, then it said that it couldn't start because it didn't have BOOTMGR in the startup files. I tried rebooting from the disk, I tried reinstalling Vista, I tried doing auto-repair again, but none of those work because it can't find BOOTMGR, even thought the full operating system disk is in the drive. I asked my computer geek roommate what to do, but he said that he's never seen anything like that before. Does anybody have any suggestions for what I should do? :helpme:
