:wave2: Definitely the best forum ever, but just out of curiousity I was wondering how much it costs to run the forum ?
The hosting and bandwidth costs must be pretty high, especially on such a well used board.
Sort of fits in with the 'slow board' problems, as someone has to pay for the upgrades, and we're getting it all for nothing. :bowdown:
Maybe Freeones needs to nominated for a Nobel prize for services to mankind.
Seriously though, have you considered paypal contributions (or similar) to help with the costs ?
Would be a purely voluntary donation, and if only 1% of the 12000+ members donated / pledged $5 a month, that would give the board:
120 members x $5 = $600 a month.
Maybe as a sweetener, those members would have access to exclusive galleries, much the same way as 'My Freeones' works.
It's the only time I'd consider donating to a forum, as most aren't worth it. But Freeones is probably the best site ever, and I wouldn't have a problem donating if it helped the board out (i.e. server costs etc.).
