How does Public ******** Work?

I'm a huge fan of Public ********, but one question that I often ask is, are the actors (Princess Donna, Mona Sky, etc...) worried about HIV/AIDS/STDs? Random people in public are allowed to watch and participate, what happens if one of those people are infected? It's possible that you're infected and don't know it, so you could be unknowingly transmitting a virus.
