How do you view pornstars that won't do interracial?

What do you think of Pornstars that don't do interracial?

In an interview she explains that she never does anal or interracial....and then explains why she doesn't do....anal. Interacial nearly always means "blacks". She's from Oklahoma....not the most liberal of states when it comes to race tolerance. And it's not like it just so happens that all of her scenes are with white guys...she comes out and says it.

Is she coming right out and saying that she's a racist? I can't really read it any other way. What do you think?

I myself won't go into this subject again. This board is full of these threads, most of which have been locked.

They always head in the wrong direction it seems. Its not encouraged to discuss race discrimination here at all really. :dunno: I even think its somewhere in the golden rules? Could be wrong though. Since I'm not a mod and have only read the rules.

Good for them. Their decision. Last I heard it brought down their "market value" (if there is such a thing in porn) so maybe that has something to do with it?

Let's translate the phrase 'I don't do interracial' into what it actually means -- 'I don't fuck non-whites'. It's so obviously a racist phrase, yet apparently ubiquitous in the porn industry.

Absolute phrases of this kind can't be likened to mere preferences though. It seems perfectly acceptable to me to say 'I prefer blondes' or 'I usually prefer this particular race', but it becomes strange to say 'I never find non-blondes attractive' or racist to say 'I don't find this race attractive'.

I should say I don't think this necessarily makes this individual a racist though. Pornstars aren't known for their articulacy. It is possible that she means 'I'm open to the idea but haven't got around to sleeping with a non-white guy', especially considering the way she goes on to talk about anal.

Obviously her attitude shows some racial bias on her part.But as I have said before this is the kind of thing that should not be as worried about as when that bias is allowed to effect peoples rights.Not wanting to have sex with someone is a private matter but discrimination against them in jobs,housing and application of the justice system is not private and should be fought against.You don't want to marry them or have sex with them based on race thats your right.But your still showing bias IMO.

That's the nature of forums -- the same old topics reappear all the time. One guy makes a 'Jenna Jameson is so OVERRATED!' thread, and then a couple of weeks later someone else brings up the same topic. It happens.

The alternative is to bump old threads and that's usually not a good idea because the people being responded to may not be around any more.

I'm pretty sure it must mean you can't be racially offensive in your posts, rather than enforcing a ban on discussing racial discrimination altogether. Otherwise that would mean the next time anyone wants to talk about Nelson Mandela or Rosa Parks, they should expect a lock...

Good point about she made it a public thing by mentioning it.And of course you are also correct about all forms of racism should be opposed.My only point is that some forms of it are worse than others.You keep people poor and uneducated and lock them up disproportionately and discriminatorily is much worse than you are not interested in sex with them due to race IMO.

It's not a private matter, it's a professional matter.
However I think it's safe to say that being a porn star is quite different from being doctor. And fucking somebody for your monthly pay is quite different from treating a patient.

All in all it's her decision. Forcing her into something would be more upsetting than her not having sex with black people in my opinion. And calling her a racist is just stupid.

However it does seem a bit odd that someone willing to swallow cum on screen would have something against fucking black people if it wasn't out of principle. And personally, it's a bit of a turn off to watch someone that I don't believe is a nice person. So I think by making it public like this is a big mistake by her.

It's different strokes for different folks. If she doesn't want to work with non-whites then that is her choice. Regardless of her reasons she has the right to work with white's only or people of other race.

I'm glad you explained this, I guess my four years here and seven total on boards has taught me nothing. As well as being a mod and an admin in the past on another large board. :glugglug:

I know what it means, as well as know how fast a thread like this can turn in this place and become racially offensive. My freedom to say I don't wish to discuss it again is my right too. BTW if one turns racial as many others have , yes Nelson and Rosa should expect a lock.

It is a private matter (personal choice), each star has a right to do any type work they choose. Who they act with or what fetishes they choose to do. Porn stars have their own personal tastes as anyone does. People need to look to the porn, not the politics of it.

Attitudes with some close minded people will never change. Its a shame but a fact. While I am totally against any type racism I feel their choices are not racist, simply only personal taste. Its not like its the only thing many turn down doing. :2 cents:

A couple more thoughts....

If I hire a secratary to make copies for everyone in the office, she can't really come to me and say "you know, I don't really make copies for black people". I hired her to do her job. That said, if it comes up in the job interview I can choose to hire her or not.

So if she is contracted out for 8 hours to work with whoever, and a black actor has been hired, I think she's contractually obligated to do him. In that case it would affect someone else's employment. However, if she's hired for 8 hours do shoot with these 4 specific guys, and she agrees, then it's a different story.

I doubt that she's sexually atracted to all of the guys she has sex with. A male porn star could make this arguement. If a certain skin color + viagra doesn't make you hard, it means you can't do the work.

If it does lower her market value (and I don't know if it does or does not), then that's the only really good argument that I can think of, however it's still pretty socially offensive to come out and say "I don't work with black people".

To keep from writing yet another long argument about this subject I think I will keep it short and say it doesn't bother me. I don't know the reasons behind most of them choosing that and can't say for certain what their true motivations are.

I know this isn't the reason most people use, but to be honest if I was a star, I would refuse to do interracial just on the basis that they make some gimmick out of it instead of it just being normal sex between two people. It would be nice if it could be done without some stupid spectacle being made out of it. It usually ends up being a mockery and ends up turning sex into a joke. Of course a huge portion of porn is like that today in one form or another with or without any interracial.

On another matter, that's kind of off topic, I find the people that continually plead and beg people to do interracial for it's own sake while they complain about the people that refuse to do it to be almost as bad.

I saw on tmz that ashlynn brookes was goin to the club with the actor formerly known as carlton from fresh prince and they left together. Unless they are mere "friends" and even "friends" do it, I wouldn't say she's racist. I'd say that it's just a blind assumption to say that any pornstar that doesn't do interracial is racist.
