The sheer beauty of this thing is... in the vast majority of all cases, copyright breakers, if actually, get a warning and they can take their stuff from the web and get away with that.
The basest of all intellect should tell you that when a staffer from one of the websites you are stealing from gives you the strong advice to do this, surely in not too polite manners (Hey, he is talking to a thief, remember?), you should be able to follow a simple chain of logic:
1. Oh my an owner of the material I stole caught me.
2. He is giving me the chance to take the material down rather than taking me to court
3. I have to make that decision: Do I want to play ball and maybe go to jail or pay a hefty sum? Or do I rather use the chance and stay outside of court?
4. Either way, it is no smart strategy to talk back and make him angry
5. DO NOT PROVIDE FURTHER PROOF OF YOU STEALING
6. Saddam did a smart thing and just found himself a hole in the ground. Maybe you should follow up on that idea. Because as long as the Marines are not involved, you have a fair chance to come out in fall and pick up a life somewhere on the farm.
