Help!!! My Life In Porn Is Meaningless And I Am In Prison!

At least according to Shelly Luben and one of her disciples who just emailed me. I figure this is a topic that needs some discussion so here is a new thread to discuss the merits of what was written to me out of the blue.

Well, I do not know Shelly or her disciple that emailed me on her behalf. There is a saying that 'judge not lest ye be judged.....' I am sure Shelly has helped out tons of folks but if writing to people out of the blue assuming I am in a 'prison', 'hopeless' and in need a 'way out' is frankly a bunch of frikkin bull!

For any of my fans out there that do not know..... I am running an adult site called http://www.Vickyathome.com I love doing it. I love meeting fans and other folks who like what I do, and yes, the sex is real and fun as well. I run the site with my significant other and we only put out adult content that we like..... no drugs or weirdness involved. If you see one of our scenes, we are usually laughing most of the time and having fun. It is I think one of the reasons why http://www.Vickyathome.com has gone up in popularity on the internet dramatically and is one of the top MILF sites in the world..... if it is not fun, I do not do it - period.

I am sure Shelly and her disciple means well, but while there may be some people that need help in porn, I am not one of them. Frankly, there are people that need help in all walks of life.... lawyers to truck drivers. Should we be sending unsolicited 'your life is prison' emails out of the blue to every single person? Again, I am sure the work that is done is well meaning, but I for one really do not need an unsolicited 'your life is crap' message. People need only look at the promotional video on the guest page of my site to see that while there is adult content, I am laughing, my partner is laughing, and I just film myself having fun. There are exceptions in every industry..... some girls I am sure are saying they are having fun when they are not. But jeez.... ask me first before sending me such a message. If I was depressed, that would have depressed me even more.

Hi Vicky, thanks for posting this on here and I imagine it wll be quite a topic as well.
This is my opinion on it. It is typical of anti-porn groups especially former pornstars that become born again christians to try to make porn illegal. They always seem to focus on the bad things in the porn industry which they think is everywhere and that all pornstars in particular women pornstars are effected by this, they try to attack it from the inside by trying to convert the stars hoping to get rid of it at the source then they go after the fans. Porn has been around in many forms longer than all of today's current religions, I respect religion but I hate it when they try to get rid of something they don't like and intefere in people's lives no matter if they are religious or not. If we can get rid of all the bad things in porn then the only thing these anti-porn groups will moan about is pre-marital sex, nudity, lesbian/gay/bisexual scenes and condoms as shown in some porn movies.

Hey Vicky! I think it is ridiculous that you got this e-mail sent to you. The sender rudely assumes he knows more about your life and what you want than you do yourself. The righteous-spewing "moral majority" is something porn lovers and porn workers alike sometimes have to deal with. But they really have nothing to offer us. Everyone has their own beliefs, morals and values and it would be a much better world if certain people would just mind their own business instead of trying to "save" people. There may well be pornstars who may want to get out of the business, but may need help in doing so. Crissy Moran and Erica Campbell come to mind. If there is an organization that provides services to help them then more power to them.

If you are not one of those women then ignore the message and continue your life. No harm, no foul. However, if you would have been a woman that may have needed help then it may be a great service.

During my brief contact with dancers and clubs way back when, I met lost souls, working girls, women making a good living not being secretaries, and even one hardcore law student making all her tuition working about 20 hours or so a week.
Druggies, wives, cool girls using the situation to make a good living...pretty much the same as most other things we all do to make the rent (a job).
The prison I saw was the pressure to stay in "the box", not the path they freely chose to follow in their life; Vicky is a shining example of this. Currency traders and stock brokers fit Shelley Lubben's description just as much as do porn actresses and actors.

I agree with this. I think I was more upset that it was suggested that I needed help, when I do not, or that it was suggested that I felt I was in prison when I feel liberated. Being told how you feel or think is bs.

It must be quite a shock to the anti-porn folks out there who think all porn girls are drug addicts, alcholics and carrying diseases, that there is a 43 year old woman who does not use drugs, booze and does not have a disease who is having fun in the business, traveling, and seeing the world.

As an update, I emailed Shelley to her MySpace page and got a message back that the person was not affiliated with her, and that is not how she does business. She asked to send me a 'gift' in the mail and said I was a 'sweetie'. Call me a skeptic and a cynic but I really do not want a bible to be sent to me in the mail, and it certainly seems to me that the mail was written to me by someone at least in the circle of Shelley trust. Just my opinion. I looked at her website and there are tons of stats of pornstars who have died, who have gotten diseases, and who are committing suicide. It is sad but I wonder if you did statistics on the number of lawyers or secretaries as an example who are committing suicide or are running around with herpes if the numbers were not higher. Pornstars ARE REQUIRED TO TEST FOR DISEASES.... statistics are thus kept. Pornstars are the focus of media/internet scrutiny... so if someone dies, there are lists kept of every single one who decided life was not living.

All that being said, this is not an opinion that Shelley should stop. If she helps one person who is in need, then that is amazing stuff. If someone is sad and chooses a career change which will make them happy then great. Just do not assume that every single person in a chosen profession is unhappy....
