Help me identify a song.. using only my stupid song description

Harpsman

Light one for Me
Can lightning strike twice?

Another tune that is driving me crazy to know the name of the artist and song.

Here goes...

The song starts with electric guitar strumming 4 strings one note at a time on each string.

As if it is a chord being strummed but picking one note on each string.

Duh
Nuh
Nuh
Nuh

Then again as if it is being strummed again but backwards as if the same notes but in reverse order...

Nuh
Nuh
Nuh
Duh

Then again...

Duh
Nuh
Nuh
Nuh

Then

Nuh
Nuh
Nuh
Duh..

Duh nuh nuh nuh
Nuh nuh nuh nuh

Then the singer jumps in singing to the same tempo.kinda sounds a little like Mick Jagger's style...

Jesus man! :1orglaugh

Could it be...........Smashing Pumpkins - 1979?

Could it be "Moonlight Mile" BY the Stones?

None of the above.

It has to be a somewhat popular song.

I heard it being played during the Capitols and Penguins game yesterday.

I'll try again.

4 separate notes strummed independently. Not as a chord. They do a My Sharona kinda thing. Note one..then note 2 is a little higher. Repeated..

Duhn

The Stones reference made me think of the Smashing Pumpkins because Corgan can sound like Jagger at times. I'm thinking maybe Start Me Up by the Stones but I'm sure you know it?

Not Start me up.

The first 4 notes are similar yo My Sharona.
Bum- bah..bum-bah

Then it seems to go up a half or whole step

Bum bye.. Bum bye..

Then back down to

Bum- bah Bum -bah

Then a fast run of the notes ..

Like bum buh bum buh bum buh

Then singing starts with the same tempo as the intro
