Help me identify a song.. using only my stupid song description

It is either an 80's or 90's era song.

I used to think it was The Hives but it is not.

Anyway here goes..

*Ahem*

Starts our with fast to medium acoustic guitar strumming ..dah-dah..dah-na .. dah-dah..dah-na-nah..dah-nah-nah-nah- dahhhhhhh..Dan nah nah nah na na nah!!!

Then either in the middle of the song or at the end they are singing woooooo wooooooooo..wooooooooo..wooooooooo

Male group..

The woooooo oooo part sounds similar to Sympathy For The Devil by the Stones.

If anyone has any ideas you can link it or post a YouTube link.

Thanks

( I am not expecting much help here so surprise me)

Not a clue. I would say though my introduction to Sympathy for the devil was from Jane's Addiction back in the day. JA one of my all time fav bands.

I know a 1970s song ? .... "Nah-nah-nah-nah. Hey-hey. Kiss Him Goodbye! by Steam

1980s or 1990s:

1. I would look at Poison. But the problem with them, Brett Michaels usually does all the singing. CC Deville and Bobby Dall hardly ever sing in the choruses. Rikki Rockett doesn't sing at all.

2. Sebastian Bach and Skid Row, an acoustic "I Remember You" :dunno:

3. Guns-N-Roses an acoustic "Patience" ? ... Axl Rose whistles the beginning. Just don't know.

4. Jon Bon Jovi??

Not Poison. It is more of an alternative new wave sound.

The intro is an upbeat acoustic rocking intro. At the end of the 4 measure or so intro the drums slowly jump in during the last measure of the intro.

I have heard the song used as bumper music on radio talk shows. The call screener didn't have access to the bumper play list. It is driving me crazy to know the name.

1980s ... New Wave/Alternative ...maybe the Cure

Cheap Trick? :dunno: Not New Wave/Alternative but ....

"If You Want My Love"... (with woooooing sounds)

"The Flame" .... (with acoustic guitar intro)

Nope. I am huge Cheap Trick fan. Robin Zander lives about 3 miles from my house in Safety Harbor Florida.

Please try to remember some pieces of the lyrics. Either just key words or maybe short chorus parts. That really helps

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Search you tube for any commercials, or the show you are talking about, sometimes the full version will show up. I have found a song or 2 that way. Might work, you just have to be prepared to listen to a bunch of stuff to get there.

Can lightning strike twice?

Another tune that is driving me crazy to know the name of the artist and song.

Here goes...

The song starts with electric guitar strumming 4 strings one note at a time on each string.

As if it is a chord being strummed but picking one note on each string.

Duh
Nuh
Nuh
Nuh

Then again as if it is being strummed again but backwards as if the same notes but in reverse order...

Nuh
Nuh
Nuh
Duh

Then again...

Duh
Nuh
Nuh
Nuh

Then

Nuh
Nuh
Nuh
Duh..

Duh nuh nuh nuh
Nuh nuh nuh nuh

Then the singer jumps in singing to the same tempo.kinda sounds a little like Mick Jagger's style...
