Health scare..

Hey guys,

Today I got some unsettling news from the DR, one of my tests came back abnormal and I have to go back in next week for them to do a biopsy of my cervix.. He said it could turn out to be nothing but the possibility of cancer is there. I don't usually like to ask for favors but if you could, send a few prayers and good thoughts my way this week, It would be much appreciated.

I know a lot of you aren't super religious or anything but even just some positive thoughts sent my way might help.. This is a bit scary but I'm hoping for the best.

Have any of you ever been through a health scare like this?

I wanted to make a joke about the "going through cervix" thread, but I won't cause I wuv you! :shy:

I have a friend who gets cysts on her cervix or ovaries (I'm not sure anymore) every now and then. It's nothing serious, but they have to be removed. I hope you have that or even less. Bad thing is she can't have **** anymore. (I think it was because of that, but it wasn't the only reason) But she doesn't want more anyway. (She already has a ********)

Don't worry I'm sure if you have something like a cyst you will still be able to have **** after they remove it. (My friend has that almost regularly and had some other problems with her ovaries.)

I didn't want to scare you more than you already were! :o I hope I haven't.

You definitely have my prayers. Hopefully it is nothing serious. The waiting is definitely hard. I had a few heart issues while I was in the hospital in December and they wanted to give me a pacemaker. I waited and found out it was the medications they were giving me.

If this makes you feel better, I have known 4 women that have had exactly similar stories to yours, and all 4 came back negative. The impression I get is that this happens a lot (abnormalities) but it doesn't mean cancer very often.

I'm in the same boat and Dr's show little interest when a condition is not life threatening even if the symptons are ruining your life. All the best Nikki and hopefully it'll turn out to be nothing serious, I've had plenty of scans myself and you can go crazy looking online at all the diseases what have symptons that match yours, that's the problem when you have agonising waits of days or even weeks.
