HBO Launching Streaming Service For Masses!

Next year, HBO will be bringing it's HBO2GO service to everyone with a broadband connection. Shows like Game of Thrones will be available after they air and you'll be able to watch HBO documentaries, HBO mini-series, and other stuff as well. If successful, Showtime and Cinemax - both owned by HBO's parent company Time Warner - will do the same. No word on Starz, but it would be likely that they would also get in on it.

That really is a triple edged sword. What is supposed to be a utility company becomes a money grab. Then again, they do produce content and that comes with a price. The last thing they want to do is a la carte at reasonable prices. By the same token, no one is willing to cut the cable because if you do, you are a hermit to society. Pick your poison.
