I probably agree with the consumer activists groups that Google got off too easy.
The disturbing trend to me is how focused corporations are on patents. The amount of time and money spent on acquiring and protecting patents is alarming.
Certainly IP needs to be protected. It has to be stifling creativity and research and development.
