Armed citizen tries to stop carjacking, shoots victim instead

Authorities in Houston are searching for three men after a carjacking Saturday night – the two suspects who stole the truck and an armed citizen who attempted to intervene but accidentally shot the victim instead of the suspects.

Witnesses said just after 11 p.m., two suspects jumped another man in a gas station parking lot before taking the victim’s Chevy pickup. Another witness saw the carjacking, pulled a *** and opened fire on the suspect. But when the armed citizen realized he had accidentally struck the victim in the head, witnesses said he picked up his spent shell casings and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is in stable condition, and authorities found the stolen truck – abandoned – about a mile from where the carjacking occurred. The suspects, as well as the armed citizen, have not been found.

He picked-up the evidences of what he had done an run away, not even calling an ambulance to rescue the victim. Classy

Without that "good guy with a ***" the victim would be totally fine. But because there was a "good guy with a ***" he's now in hospital and will have to spent the rest of his life with the consequences of gunshot wounds to the head.
