Gonzo vs movie porn.

I'm new around here so I'm not sure if this has been a debated topic or not, if yes then I apologize. Search did yield no results however.

I'm finding myself longing back to my years of youth when porn actually had a story or plot. For example the lucky pizza guy who got a BJ because the person who ordered had lost her wallet or whatever. Today its all about gonzo, and I'm liking that less and less because its so....unconvincing.

I understand there are economical motives by making gonzo as its a lot cheaper, or so I would imagine, but its just not the same as a proper porn movie. There was something remarkably charming about the terrible dialogues and bad acting. Further more, it also gave you that "wow, that pizza guy is really la lucky guy" type of thoughts.

Am I just being old fashion, or does other share my nostalgia?

When I read "movie porn," I thought of the Pirates movies or any of the new wave parody films.
Then I read your description and will say most of the scenes from sites, say from Brazzers, have a small plot like you describe.

the best Teagen Presley film i've seen is a gonzo one years ago. the way she talks in it, the way she acts in it, the camera man knowing when not to talk. no film of her has even come close to that and Teagen's one of my favorites so i still enjoy her other ones but that gonzo one was just pure sexy. it'd be one of my top five easily but normally i prefer movie-type porn over gonzo just for the quality of the camera and lighting work.

A lot of people thought Gonzo was so great when it fist came about. After all the thinking went, why would people that watch porn care about anything other than the sex. While it did gain the upper hand for a while, it also has pretty much come close to ruing porn, and were seeing the ramifications of it now. There was never any need for masterpiece writing or even something that was very good. It didn't matter that some of it was bad. It just needed to set the stage and the mood, and play off our sense of imagination. That pretty much went by the wasteside when Gonzo took over. The normal features of days gone by also didn't feel the need to constantly one up each other in nastiness to the same degree to try and upstage each other until it made a mockery of sex or resort to misogynistic stuff to appeal the lowest common denominator of decency in their dumbest customers.

Why take the long way around to a point? As I understand it Gonzo simply means the sex isn't scripted not that there is no plot whatsoever. The sex seems more realistic in Gonzo scenes..there are usually more real orgasms by the women...so it's much better than the cheesy features and their cheesy music IMO.

i prefer some types of gonzo. i like the feel in gonzo that the girl is just there for you to watch her get fucked, no "explanation" or anything. and i prefer the fact that gonzo has no music... i too dislike the gagging/spitting/slapping-aspect of many gonzo films, but then again i can choose not to watch them.
