Fugitive caught after singing in church and mowing lawns

Seems like God stitched him up

When an escaped prisoner is on the run, keeping a low profile is usually high on their priority list, but this convicted ******** did quite the opposite and spent his time mowing lawns and singing in church.

Tracy Province, 42, escaped from an Arizona prison and 10 days later walked into Meeteetse Community Church, sang in the morning worship service and even shook hands with attendees.

The Rev. Ron Kingston then asked Province if he could mow the church’s lawn and cut some weeds for cash and the fugitive agreed politely.

‘I introduced myself to him because he was a face I hadn’t seen before. We shook hands and I welcomed him into the church,’ Mr Kingston told CNN.

‘He was polite. He asked me if I appreciated how he cut the grass, if he did a good enough job’, he continued.

But after Province’s church experience, one women later recognised him from news reports and called the police, leading to the prisoner’s arrest as he walked out of a Meeteetse motel on Monday morning.

Province had escaped from prison on July 30th along with fellow inmates John Charles McCluskey, 45, and Daniel Renwick, 35.

Mr Kingston said that perhaps Mr Province had entered the church to look for redemption for his sins.

The pastor said: ‘He, maybe, came to this house for a reason, and God is a loving God, and he is also a just God’, meaning that God might have helped the authorities find Province.
