A friend of mine booked alexisonfire to play Windsor on September 6th. Naturally we got an opening spot for the show. So, like any hardworking band would do, we made posters and put them up all over the city to promote the show. The poster had big alexisonfire logo with a picture of them, and our band, on it below. There is a ton of other bands on the gig, but since we're the ones putting the money into nice posters, we didn't put their names on. Just us, aof, the date and whatever other info was on them.
Today, my guitarist gets a call from the company promoting the show, and tells us we're kicked off the bill. alexisonfire complained about the posters having their name on them without their permission and said if we weren't kicked off the show, they wouldn't play. So obviously we get kicked off.
Am I wrong for thinking they are a bunch of faggots? Not only is their music shit, but they are fuckin douchebags too. Who complains about their show being promoted? For free. Ridiculous man.
I hope they don't think the people that bought tickets for us are still going. I've already started giving people their money back. $25 a ticket too. They're going to lose out on a couple grand because of their piece of shit rockstar attitudes. Fuck em.
