Frozen Custard Vs. Frozen Yogurt Vs. Ice Cream

For once in my life I had frozen custard, where I live there is a Rita's frozen custard. Man this stuff is amazing, screw ice cream and frozen yogurt. So what do you guys like?

The best thing I ever had in my life was actual pure Italian gelato when I went to visit friends in Italy this year. They made it fresh right in store with ingredients that they'd get at the the market in the city, and I was lucky enough to see them make fresh raspberry once before I left. Have a bowl of that with chocolate or vanilla and :drool2:

In terms of what I prefer in America though, I'm partial to just about anything. I only wish that there was a place around to get good soft-serve ice cream/frozen yogurt instead of just always having to buy it out of the freezer case at the store, where it's always just hard and cold.

Never had frozen custard.

In the Bay Area there are several kick ass ice cream joints, all of which make get ice cream. There's Knudsen's in Castro Valley, Fenton's in Oakland, and the San Francisco Dairy Company in Walnut Creek. The latter two have been featured on Food Network shows before.

Frozen yogurt is something I just eat when I go to all-you-can-eat restaurants.

Frozen yogurt, but only the kind thats made fresh with actual fruit (ie. yogenfruz) ...none of the crap you buy in tubs at the store.

I have never heard of frozen custard and i have never had frozen yogurt.

I'm agreeing with Spexy here (a rarity ) but frozen yoghurt with real fruit is the best! It's healthier too. mmmm this thread makes me hungry

i dont like sugar. thats not as unusual as You Might think. a lot of people i know dont dig it either. in fact, theres a theory that states that people who regularly enjoy ****, tend not to crave sugar. it appears to be true in a lot of cases.

also.. i just save my calories for **** in general. to me, ice cream is a waste of calories. why eat that **** when you can have frozen yogurt if you really wanted ice cream? that i don't get.
