Which one is the best?

If you're serious, the best answer I can give you is this....and it's not a really good one. It all really depends on WHAT you're fishing for, and WHERE you're doing the fishing. The same rod and line you would use for Muskie fishing, would never work for Small Mouth Bass. You can probably get some good answers out of this group, if you post this in the sport section, and you get specific about what you want to fish for.

An ultra light rod and spinning reel, with 4 lb test, and either a small rubber grub with a spinner, or a small Repala crawdad, in the Cuyahoga River, fishing for Small Mouth Bass.

So you do not need radar or any other frills.

Have you fished with nets?

First off, that's not fishing...that's finding.

second, yes, once the fish has been brought to the shore, or side of the boat, I have used a net...but a net like a pool skimmer, not a large commercial fishing net. That's not fishing, that's catching. Thar's a business, not a sport.

But also an amateur fisherman use nets.

Trawling is a business because it requires crew and large boat.
