Mallrats. I dislike most of his flicks but I mainly dislike his shit ass comics. I was going to name my Girl if i had 1 Harley Quinn and of course he took my idea. GRRRRRR!!!!!. Sorry to go off topic but I needed to rant a lil.

I voted chasing amy.

the movie is way over the top and ridiculous, but if you can suspend your disbelief, it's really well done for his first attempt at drama. Also I like the offbeat humour of it too.
I think a lot of people didn't like it. it's probably his least popular movie.

he said that the critics loved clerks and hated mallrats, so that sort of gave him free range to just go all out there with no expectations, and that's what I like.

When Hooper X is talking about how star wars is racist. Hilarious.

so did I !

by the way, i'm thinking in start a "favorite M. Night Shyamalan movie?", since he's my favorite director (along with Scorsese), but i think he has a lot of enemies around here, so... maybe is not such a good idea.

Go for it,go for it!

I like all his movies. . . its hard to single out a favorite. While many seem to not have liked Chasing Amy, I thought that one was great! Dogma was also a great one, particularly having been raised Catholic! Third place would be the Jay and Silent Bob. . . I have yet to see Jersey Girl

I guess I'd pick Dogma, although I have no interest in seeing it again. It had its moments, for sure. I am at a total loss as to what all the hype is about "Clerks". I'm completely in the right demographic for being a fan, but I just don't find it interesting or funny or much of anything other than boring.

I like Kevin Smith and I'm going with Clerks simply because it's his first, and is a low budget affair, that he financed himself by maxing out a load of credit cards and taking one hell of a gamble in his vision and self belief to succeed.

You've got to respect that.
