Favourite controller?

Simple question.

The 360 controller is the perfect controller. The triggers are far better than the L2/R2 buttons. My fingers slide off the L2/R2 buttons on the PS3 controller and I'm constantly adjusting my hands when those buttons are heavily used ( shooters mostly). I also think 360 controllers are better built. It feels solid in my hand. PS3 feels like it would break easy. (I've gone through 3 since October) and I've never broke a 360 controller that I recall, but that's all situational I guess.

64 was too weird.
Original Xbox was way too big.
Wii is...not for me.
SNES too small.
NES too small.
Sega Genesis had a good controller. All the right curves in all the right places. It would be my 3rd choice after 360 and PS3.

Anyway, have at it. Which controller is your favourite?

I prefer the PS3 controller over all of them. I like how it is laid out and I have never had a problem with the shoulder buttons or broken one and I have had one for 2 years now. But to each their own

Playstation, never had any problems with the shoulder buttons nor did I break a controller ever. X-box controller is a bit too big for me.

There seems to be no perfect controller in my opinion. The 360 controller d-pad is the most terrible d-pad, right after the genesis d-pad, I also don't like the feel of the rb/lb buttons. The PS3 control triggers do feel awkward and overall the controller feels unsturdy to me. The SNES had an awkward shape, the NES was pretty good, The N64 had weird button placement and so did the Gamecube but the Gamecube had the best grip. The dreamcast was outright terrible.

I guess my favorite control would be the PS2 control and for motion control, the Move's Killzone gun is pretty awesome when you learn button placement and stuff.

I like the size and shape of the PS3 controller. I do think the XBOX 360 controller is comfortable.

The only controller I can't really stand is the Gamecube controller. Trying to play Resident Evil on that was too difficult. It was trying to combine the N64 Controller and the NES controller into one.

holy fuck that thing is big and all the buttons A.B.X.Y. white, black
for fucks sake stop!

IMO i dont have a fav. i dont really pay attention to the controller in my hand.
i have never had an issue with my 360 or PS3 controller.
i dont notice the way it is made (shoddy, good, great) or that my hands cant grab it correctly.
non issue for me.
the genesis controller was pretty good also.

Best Xbox controller I had was this Pelican made with white and black shoulder buttons, rubber grip on sides, different sizing, and just the right handle. It was suh-weet. Too bad it is a bit faulty after about 8 years of using. :(

haha, that pics great. dude, u gotta love it when after thirty minutes of playing you had to stop because your hand was cramping up trying to reach everything. made you have to be more productive.

and wasn't tryin to insult, you know bender, right? the loveable rascal?

Keyboard and mouse , second favorite is Gamecube controller.

Playstation controller is OK but i hate the anolog nubs on it, they are way to loose and the slightest movement of your thumb sends them flying. I do love the PS3 though I never use the analog nubs and I love games with keyboard/mouse support

The 360 controller is my favorite by far, the PS3 isn't too bad but it feels awkward in my giant clown hands. The original Xbox controller was uncomfortable no matter how you held it, and if you managed to play through all of the hand cramps the buttons would hurt your fingers.
I remember reading an article in a magazine (Game Informer?) about the perfect controller, honestly I would be happy with the 360 controller with an 8 way D-pad, force feedback on the triggers, and a lcd where the guide (Xbox) button is.

Oh, and the Steel Battalion controller, I got it for Christmas one year. Not a great controller but it was cool.

Personally,I think the the 360 controller is trash, but that's because I'm use to playing with the PS3,and it's predecessors. The only thing that I do like about the 360 controller is the concave analog sticks, but that gets negated because that aren't even on the same horizontal level, which feels very awkward to me.Plus,I don't like the feel, nor the placement of the buttons.

All that being said,I have to say that the Super Nintendo probably had the best controller, being that it's the godfather of all of the PS controllers.Too bad Nintendo couldn't just stick with what worked, because every other controller that they made for every other system to follow has been pure trash.

I'm leaning towards the playstation controller, although I've been a playstation gamer my whole gaming life.
