well... this is my first FF season. Who else is into this...?

My draft went well for a 12 team league. Post your draft results and we'll go from there

RD 1 - Frank Gore RB
RD 2 - Drew Brees QB
RD 3 - Adrian Peterson (MIN) RB
RD 4 - Andre Johnson WR
RD 5 - Deon Branch WR
RD 6 - Jeremy Shockey TE
RD 7 - Braylon Edwards WR *sleeper*
RD 8 - Jaguars DEF
RD 9 - Jay Cutler QB
RD 10 - Dolphins DEF
RD 11 - Chester Taylor RB
RD 12 - D.J. Hackett WR
RD 13 - Olindo Mare K *saints*
RD 14 - Bryant Johnson WR

:yesyes:

^^i didn't see anything wrong with it... I was surprised to still see the dolphins cause defenses started flying off the board around RD7. They should be a first choice for owners

Ok picks always depends on how the pts are always set up in the leagues. As far as 2 defenses that early no lol. Unless it Bears or Ravens do not pick them earlier than 5 maybe 6. After those 2 are gone the rest of the D's are pretty much the same when it comes to point production.

Palmer would be my choice but the other 3 QBs are in the same tier, however, so I don't think you're going to see a wide variation in performance between any of the ones you mentioned. I would say Peyton is in a tier by himself. And always draft defense and kickers last.

I'd pick Palmer too. And yeah, unless you're pickin the Bears D, you wanna wait later in the draft. But your picks are ok I guess.

No dude. Being a homer is death in fantasy football.

In this case it's a good idea to be a homer... Tom is a solid top 3 QB in my book. He was very, solid last year with Reche Caldwell as primary WR.

This year:

D. Stallworth
R. Moss
then you get to Caldwell, Gaffney etc

Who knows how big Tom's FF impact will be this year...?

Oh no you got me wrong. I agree that Brady is definitely in the top 3 (or maybe 4). I'm just saying that usually when you pick a favorite player to be on your team he either sucks or ends up injured or something. Sorta like a hometown curse. Just my experience. Maybe you have fared better.

Stallworth has never lived up to his hype and he can't stay off the injured list. Moss is a huge risk for anyone so we'll have to wait and see. I do agree that the receiver corps has a chance to be much better than in recent years. We'll see.

this is actually my first year in fantasy football but speaking of "homers" T.O. went second overall in my draft...

Unless your league gives out a lot of points for passing yards or thrown touchdowns by the quarterback there is no way anybody should pick anything other then a running back for the first two picks. In most standard leagues you shouldn't pick a tight end that early either and with the defense you should wait until the very end. In fact most people can wait a lot longer to pick a quarterback than they think and end up with something decent.

i see... but what rd should a qb be looked at because after round 3 we were looking at:

Hasselbeck
Young
Rivers
Romo
Roethlisburger

Romo/Rivers may have been worth the wait but... are these QBs FF producers?

I know somebody has to have their teams... too embarassed to share :shy:

starters:

ladainian tomlinson
marc bulger
steve smith
andre johnson
hines ward
antonio gates
adrian peterson
jason elam
carolina

bench:
phillip rivers
santana moss
marion barber III
greg olsen
olindo mare
minnesota

thats how you draft a team.

 how deep was the draft... you obviously had 1st pick

i was helped by a few people who picked rookie qb's in the first round.

rookie qbs as in Brady Quin, J. Russel.... :rofl2: or Jay Cutler, V. Young . That's fucking unbelievable... in RD1! These sound like little kids.

The only stupid thing to happen in my 1st couple of rounds was T.O. 2nd overall pick. :crash:
