In baseball, when the winnng run is in scoring position (second or third base, for those who don't know), and the pitcher is winding up, 50,000 plus fans are standing up and screaming at the top of their lungs in excitement.
In football, the team with the ball is within scoring position late in the game, and 65,000 plus people are standing and screaming at the top of their lungs in excitement.
Same with hockey.
Same with Basketball.
But...
When a golfer is attempting to hit the ball on his first shot, all is deadly quiet. Same thing when he is putting. Not even a whisper. Then, right after he's hit the ball, all hell breaks loose.
Even in bowling... it's total silence while the guy stands there looking at the pins, while getting set. Then, as soon as he releases the ball, all hell breaks loose.
