I realize we've got a lot of political talk here, but maybe no one has brought this up yet..
In 2008, the US will have its first "clean slate" election since 1952; no matter
what, none of the candidates will be holding office at election time. (VP Cheney has already stated he won't seek Presidency)
This leaves all the fields in all parties wide open...should be interesting.
But I know that I myself could never be elected...I think both parties would find me too radical for their own tastes...
Why? Well, the Republicans would **** my plan to penalize businesses for too much outsourcing (sending jobs overseas )... I'd impose a "fine" in the form of tax... it wouldn't be ******* to outsource, but if your company's workforce went past 40% non-US jobs, next year your tax would be a lot heavier...like I said, not ******* to move jobs, but painful if you do. Healthcare?
I'd turn the system inside out; there's noe excuse for having the technology we do, but prices that keep many from getting it. Open up competitions, create prizes for doctors who donate so many hours a week,etc. The ****
companies would despise me...
The Democrats would probably oppose some of my foreign policies...for example, there may be times I'd make even Bush look like a wuss...I'd cut right to the chase with guys like Saddam... maybe a good-old fashioned coup
from inside- sponsored by the USA. Overthrow the bastard, but without a lot
of the bloodshed from troops. Now why didn't George W think of that?
And show Bin Laden I'm not playing games... for every time some poor innocent gets his head chopped off on camera, remind the terrorists we've got prisoners too... and better video equipment... you get the idea.
I'd solve a lot of the **** problems we have... find the large crops used for
various ***** by satellite, and carpet-bomb them-- not with explosives,but
with deadly toxins. It wouldn't be kept secret at all;the public would now know: ******* - sure, keep using it, but next time may be your last. **** use
