“We either live together, or we die together,” was the sloganeering genius of Mohamed El-Sawy, a Muslim arts tycoon whose cultural centre distributed flyers at churches in Cairo Thursday night, and who has been credited with first floating the “human shield” idea.

It happens more often than you think but the media knows Islamaphobia sells better so barely reports these kinds of events. During the recent Israeli wildfires the media barely mentioned that Palestinians sent in firefighters to help tackle the blaze or that Turkey was the first or one of the first to send in planes. Many people always complain that leaders of muslim groups don't condemn terrorist attacks, 99% of them do but the media won't send anyone to interview them or won't report their comments, instead they'll concentrate on the 10 thugs holding placards praising what the terrorists have done Speaking of Egyptian muslims what happened to our very own El3im? He has disappeared from the members list, his posts have gone (all those bellydancing ones) as well as all the visitor msgs he left me, he was a decent liberal guy who gave some great egyptian/middle eastern insight :dunno:

Wow, you're a sad, sad man. Show me one example of me ever saying anything that would make my inclusion in this thread relevant. Show me an example of "Islamophobia" or bellyaching about how only A-rabs should be molested at airports. Anything that makes sense in your sloppy context of this story.

Any critique I have of Islam and those who practice it is in regard to the blanket monotheistic hypocrisy, anti-science/anti-history purposeful ignorance that religion embraces. Just as when I've commented in threads with the subject being Catholicism, Christianity, Judaism and Zionism.
