Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole was defrauded her out of $7 million dollars by her former financial manager 44 yr old Troy David Stratos. The ex-Mrs. Murphy took away nearly $14 million in cash from her marriage that ended in 2006. Eddie and Nicole married on March 18, 1993, the divorce was finalized on April 17, 2006. A federal indictmented revealed that Troy Stratos acted as Nicole's financial manager soon after her divorce from the hollywood superstar. Records indicated that Stratos told Nicole that he had invested her millions overseas but in fact had most of the money transferred into his personal accounts.
Nicole Murphy not only trusted Stratos with her money but also her property. Stratos was also given the responsibility of selling her manions in Sacramento and Granite Bay, CA. Neither of the two property would ever hit the market. Stratos allegedly conned Nicole into refinance both homes while using those funds to lease luxury cars for himself.
