Crazy. Bet that was pretty exciting being on the 11th floor during an earthquake.

6.9 is a pretty good shake - the 1989 San Fran earthquake was 7.1.
Fortunately, a lot of California buildings are made to withstand something like this, but I am sure being in the 11th floor during all of this would be quite freaky, especially if this was your first major quake (those of us in the mid part of the U.S. rarely get the pleasure...a quake of that magnitude would flatten a town like this).
