Also be very careful if you are arguing with members who pretend to be females. If that james deen thread was about a woman accused of some sex crime they would have closed it on day one, like they closed few Marsha may threads. Well, their admin is a woman so.....

Setting aside the anal scrapping for the moment, it's interesting to contrast ADT with this forum. I'm inclined to support a stricter etiquette, but perhaps that's part of the problem with ADT... Sometimes people need to be told what they don't wish to hear. Even if that may upset people and lead to flamewars and such sometimes, it can be a learning experience as well.

Of course, some people don't appreciate free speech as it applies to others, but only to themselves. Too many people, it would seem, like an echo chamber -- and filter bubbles (2011 TED Talk by Eli Pariser: Beware online "filter bubbles")...

I was one of them. I first registered on FreeOnes in October 2007 as Blink. I then joined ADT in February 2008, which turned out to be a terrible decision.

I actually had read the etiquette, and that's why I stated I would bow out of the thread. That obviously wasn't enough for Steph. After my account was deactivated, I asked her via email how long the ban would last. She told me that it was permanent and she exploded, accusing me of being a Christian with an agenda (I was and still am an agnostic atheist with a strong fetish), at which point we both became upset and I wrote some stupid shit as well. I believe that she still hates me, perhaps in part because I know who she is and she doesn't know who I am.
