DVDs or Websites? Is it either/or/both?

Something I've been wondering lately...

All the websites that have 'exclusive content'...such as 'My First Sex Teacher'...'New Sensations'...'Asstraffic'...etc... Are these websites producing their own videos, or are these taken from DVD releases? Or...do the websites produce the scenes and then release the videos?

Kind of one of those 'which came first' questions...
