DVD burning

Hi guys
I was just curious as to what DVD burning software you use? What I have been doing for sometime is take the short free clips I find on the net and burn them to a DVD so I can watch them on my DVD player, problem is and its totally random is the DVD freezes up either on my DVD player or using the DVD player on my PC. I use WINDVD for this so I can create chapters and whathaveyou but I have this freezing problem. Even with being a computer tech I cannot figure out why this happens

Any ideas?
