Double Dipping DVD's

On April 17th Spider-Man 2.1 will be released with 8 minutes of unseen footage. On June 5th Fantastic Four Extended Edition with I believe 20 minutes of unseen footage will be released. This pisses me off. Normaly I wait to see if a super, ultra, special, extreme, collector's etc.... will be released (like I did for Sin City) but Spider-Man 2 came out about three years ago with two discs. Hence no indication of another version coming on the horizon. Sometimes if the movie is worth it I'll trade in the old version to Gamestop and get the new version. I think If movie studios are going to do this then the new version should have the previously released content as well as the new content. I find myself at the store staring at the back of the box seeing what's included just to figure out if I'll purchase now or later. Sin City was pretty easy, when it came out all it had was the movie. I pretty much figured there was another version coming with tons of content and I'm glad I waited. Now a lot of people might like the barebones edition but for DVD aficionados like me, we like all the extra stuff. We just don't want to keep paying for the same movie over and over again. I remember when Terminator 2 Extreme Edition was released all they added was T3 content, ( and that third version of the movie that was included, well that was actually hidden in the Ultimate Edition.) King Kong is another culprit, they release two versions of it and then 6 month's later a 3 disc 30 extra minute version comes out. How about the king of all DDD's the Evil Dead Trilogy. Release it all at once so that I can make my choice or if you don't have all the extras ready then wait awhile until they are, I'm already going to buy your movie I don't mind waiting. Okay, I think I'm done ranting. Anybody else have any thoughts?
