Mostly they just play crap. But, if I had to label, I'd say rock 'n role.

Then by all means, explain the differences, and provide examples. I'm not a big fan of death metal, so I guess the part where I expressed it as my opinion didn't make that clear.

I love Tull, and I love when I see them described as heavy metal...more so when I see them described as "Heavy Metal Flute".

I certainly would never consider them metal, but I know Martin Barre, was doing heavy metalish things, long before most metal even existed.
