Yeah, I'm a console gamer myself, and PRESENTLY own the following consoles:

Sega Sports Ltd. Edition BLACK Sega Dreamcast

Sony PlayStation (got it on 9-9-95, original model with the RCA jacks in the back, still works as hard as Jenna Jameson)

XBox

Gamecube

PS2

...

My favorite console is the XBox, no doubt. Got it on launch day, and actually met J. Allard twice before I got it, about 3 weeks apart, here in NYC. I now have his gamertag

I got the Gamecube for Metroid Prime alone, and it was/is easily worth the price of admission... looking forward to MP2: Echoes, due Nov 18th.

The PS2 I got in Feb of this year, and because it has a "Greatest Hits" line that's probably above 120 titles, I was able to get some killer games for cheap. I love platformers... and I say FUCK MARIO... Jak & Daxter RULES, and was the first game I finished on PS2.

Each system has their merits, and all are worthy of owning (even thought NGC is getting it's ass handed to it because of lack of dev support, and terrible, just TERRIBLE third party relations...)

Is it the rush of DOOM (the original).

Super Metroid's amazing worlds?

Halo's bitchin' story and unparalleled AI?

Metroid Prime's striking beauty and depth of gameplay, and scope of playfield?

I don't think I have any one "favorite"...

That's like asking me which porn star I'd love to fuck the most (acutally, that honor goes to Anita Blonde )

Yeah, I bought PS2 because it was the cheapest at the time but Ive heard good things about XBox.

Never played Metroid Prime or Doom or any of the other well known games. The list of games I own pretyy much go as follows:

Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness (Yes I'm a Tomb Raider fan)
Xmen Wolverine's Revenge
Spiderman 2
PsiOps
and a few others that arent really worth mentioning. :banger: :wave2:

nothing better than a good console game. i own an xbox and my favorite games so far are: halo, gta vice city, splinter cell and doa extreme beach volleyball :thumbsup:

i also like pc-games but rather the older ones, since i've given up upgrading my pc only to be able to run the latest games...

Still have the ol' Xbox and it's still kickin'. Got it when it first came out.
Halo, DOA3, BMXXX for the topless gals, Outlaw Golf, Buffy (the first one), Max Payne (both), Burnout2, KOTOR and the GTA Double Pack are the games that I have and have not traded or sold as yet.
I especially like the fact that you can copy your music to the system and play your own tracks in games that support it.
Also, the DVD feature I like to use when I watch an adult film is the zoom. Fun.
Also, I get the monthly Official Xbox Mag that has a demo disc in every issue.
Don't know when San Andreas is hitting the X, but I'll be there to get it when it does.

It was really a goal to become a video game programmer/writter.

Long lived, but changed when I got to about my 16th year in life.

Still game though... Mostly Fable and Warcraft3 right now.

I've had a Dreamcast for years (I still play it too) so for me, the best option was to 'upgrade' to an XBox. The controllers are similar, and a lot of the sequals to DC games came out on it. My current favourite game is Defiance (Legacy Of Kain), although DoA Xtreme Beach Volleyball is stupidly addictive!
