I don't know about wallpaper, and 70's sets, but I hear you when you talk about women from eastern europe. I don't have any opinions on quality, dislikes etc, but I know that many of the women in shoots come from countries that are very poor. I always wonder what payment is like compared with the US.
The same as an American model. Considering the fact that there are also American models working for Russian sites it'd be discriminating & thus offendable (discrimination) if companies paid the American girls more purely based on their nationality.
Relatively speaking, a EU girl should be making a lot more money than their American counterparts, if they didn't live in big cities like Prague or Budapest. But even though the nominal wages in most central/eastern EU countries is lower than in the US, I have a feeling this is not the case in those cities (I've been to both & the prices in stores don't differ much. At least not in the city centres...).
Payment is around 250 Euro for an afternoon, depends a bit on the name of the model.
White Russia is definitely cheaper but it is not so easy to photograph there. The Czech republic i.e. Prague is much more tolerant and there are many models available - most coy's like ALS, MetArt, a.m.o. work from there.
Studio's are for rent but they go against normal prices. Camera's are easy to rent, mostly in the studio environment.
Indeed, it depends on the name of the girl and also what she's going to do.
Hardcore in the US pays about $500.= for a well known model & I think it's roughly the same in central & Eastern Europe. ALS is an American company, btw, just like 21sextury (I found out not too long ago), although both focus mainly on EU girls & I think both have their European HQ in Budapest, not Prague. Either ALS took over DDFprod or the other way around (or they simply merged) & DDFprod is also situated in Budapest. Met-Art is American as well.

Here you go either way. I like slim and trim bodies. Not the oversized US girl that you will find under whatever name. So are other people. Matter of taste.
About ages: In Russia and White Russia uncontrollable. Minors are used, definitely. Like ******** did, although they caught him. Very difficult to see if a girl is 17 or just legal 18. Even 16 y.o. look very mature. Make up and so will do the rest. Quality of photography is much better over here than in the US. My opinion. But I haven't seen that many quality US sites.
Gal itsin? I read about him, his trial, etc. I've followed a discussion concerning this and people still haven't been able to convince eachother whether the girl in question was 18 or not. One side says the girl was 18 and that he was convicted by a Russian court nonetheless while the other side claims the Russian court wouldn't do such a thing.
I don't know about the Russian laws, but in the Netherlands, the age at which a girl was allowed to pose naked was 16 only a few years ago (it's currently 18), even though the age at which she was allowed to have sexual intercourse was 18 (& still is 18). Since girls do not engage in sexual activity on sites like femjoy (don't know where they're from), Zemani, Skokoff, etc. it is indeed possible that some of these girls
might not be 18 yet, although I assume they have to be 18 for American companies (so you're safe to look at girls from MET-Art). ******** engaged in sexual activity (on screen) with a girl which was later to be 17.
Anyway, I personally prefer Czech & Hungarian girls over their American counterparts. At least they don't look like they've had X types of drugs before the actual shoot/movie.
Russian/Ukrainian girls are a different story, however. I too sometimes wonder if the Russian/Ukrainian girl actually want to be in the HC scene & I generally stick to those girls that are well known and have worked for a multitude of companies, including ALS, 21s, DDF, etc.
