do pawn shops take microwaves?

i have a working microwave i dont need anymore, a 19 inch tv that still works and a dvd player I wanna get rid of, but some cash for them would be nice instead of just donating or throwing them away (poor college student)

so do pawn shops even take this stuff?

It depends where you look. Some pawn shops are cruddy, you need good material also. But that will fade away once they don't take shit anymore. Just random stuff, atleast the one up here gets packed up quick.

You must have a hard time borrowing $10.00 dollars. Try going to a ghetto pawn shop, they would gladly take your stuff in spades in exchange for 10 bucks and a bus token.

This side of the pond-no.Second hand electrical goods for sale are subject to stringent regulations , not worth the hassle.Charity shops won't take them either as they aren't allowed to resell them.

I was talking about commercial businesses.
They can be sold as "for spares" I believe.
Private transactions are OK of course.
