You have to laugh when McCain says things like the "fundamentals of the economy are good".Given that the most basic fundamental is "confidence".Confidence by the stock market,banks,consumers etc.
All of them seem to to have lost their confidence.It will take a lot to restore it.The moves by the govt which were hoped would do it aren't turning the trick.Obama might have to start his acceptance speech with the line "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" and hopefully it works faster then it did to help turn things to a better track then it did in the 30s.

Oh how id love to be the CEO of BP or Shell(No! BlueBalls thats not a very socialist thing to say). How the war has benefited the few and not the many. And "they" still come out with the same old rhetoric, this war is good for the Iraqi people yeah right! Well, a little while ago I happened to mention those dicks in Enron who said the same thing, (just like the Bush admin), almost got off the hook as most have done in the past. The rest of us are still figuring out how to pay our taxes, and then buy food and gas before this new $7 Trillion debt for an unjust and unnecessary war.
